A salon package is a prepaid bundle of services, such as ten blow-dries, sold at a lower price than paying per visit, with the remaining balance used up visit by visit.

The customer pays upfront and the checkout deducts each service as it is used. Until the services are delivered, the unused part is money the salon owes the customer.

Worth knowing

Recognise revenue as the services are used, not all on the day of sale.
Set clear expiry and transfer rules and show them on the receipt.
Packages for one service are easier to manage than credits that work on any service.
