A loyalty programme rewards repeat customers with points or benefits for what they buy, tracked against each customer across every branch and channel.

Each purchase earns points under the programme’s rules and each redemption spends them. Keeping every earn and redemption as its own entry means a balance can always be explained.

Worth knowing

Points are not money held for the customer in the way a gift card balance is.
A void or refund should reverse the points that the sale earned.
A walk-in who is not identified cannot earn points.
