Delivery platform integration
Also calledAggregator integrationDelivery app integration
A delivery platform integration brings orders from food delivery apps straight into the restaurant’s POS and kitchen screens, instead of staff retyping them from a separate tablet for each app.
Orders arrive through each platform’s partner connection, either directly or through a middleware service, and follow the same kitchen flow as any other order. Menus and availability can then be managed from the POS.
Worth knowing
- An integration saves rekeying and mistakes; it does not change the platform’s commission.
- Each platform decides who it connects with, through its own partner programme.
- Status updates such as accepted and ready help the counter answer “where is my order?”.
