The accredited service provider: what it does and how to choose one.
In the UAE model, businesses do not send e-invoices to the tax authority themselves. Every business appoints an accredited service provider (ASP), approved by the Ministry of Finance, that validates, sends and receives its e-invoices and reports the tax data.

How e-invoices travel
The UAE uses a five-corner model built on the Peppol network:
- Your system creates the e-invoice in the PINT AE format.
- Your ASP validates it and sends it across the network.
- Your customer’s ASP receives it and checks it.
- Your customer receives it in their system.
- The tax data is reported to the Federal Tax Authority through the providers.
How to choose a provider
- Accreditation: confirm the provider is on the Ministry’s current list, and whether it is fully accredited or still pre-approved.
- Integration: an API or connector that works with your invoicing or ERP system.
- Sending and receiving: you must receive supplier e-invoices too, not only send.
- Pricing: per invoice, per month or tiered, at your real volumes.
- Support: response times, Arabic and English support, and help during go-live.
- Exit terms: notice periods, data export and what happens if you switch.
