PINT AE e-invoicing

PINT AE is the UAE’s e-invoicing format, based on the international Peppol standard, in which invoices are exchanged as structured data through accredited service providers rather than as PDFs or paper.
Under the UAE model, the seller’s accredited service provider validates the invoice and sends it to the buyer’s provider, and the tax data is reported to the FTA. Businesses do not connect to the FTA themselves; they appoint a provider and use software that can produce PINT AE invoices.
Worth knowing
- The first phases cover business-to-business and business-to-government invoices; till receipts to walk-in customers are not in the first phases.
- The rollout is phased by business size. Check the current dates published by the Ministry of Finance and the FTA.
- Clean customer data, especially TRNs and addresses, is most of the preparation work.
